The “SUPERIOR CHAFE GUARD”, 100% Made in Italy, prevents and protects the skin abrasions in the girth area of the horse. These bruises, known as “sore spots”, tend to form in the delicate saddle area of the horse, which is often scraped by the legs of the rider, whether or not spurs are used. This elastic bandage serves as a protection to prevent the area subjected to rubbing from being further stressed and weakened. It is made with a high quality elastic fabric with high breathable capacity including special ventilation lines. This allows the horse skin to breathe and, consequently, allows the area subject to “sore spots” to regenerate and heal in optimal conditions.

In correspondence to the foot, a reinforcement fabric has also been placed to increase durability and reduce wear from use, since the area is very subject to continuous strains by the heel of the rider. Superior Chafe Guard is equipped with plug for the seat and Velcro closure system. The four loops (two per side) allow the connection to every type of girth to ensure stability.
